  • last year
Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum was the Ruler of Dubai from 1958 until his death in 1990. He is known for transforming Dubai through infrastructure development, including the establishment of Dubai International Airport, Port Rashid, the Dubai World Trade Centre, and Jebel Ali Port. Together with the late Sheikh Zayed, he played a significant role in the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. The lunar rovers of the UAE are named after him as a tribute to his contributions to modern Dubai.
