NPC probing reported massive leak of gov't. personnel data | The Final Word

The National Privacy Commission wants to further investigate an alleged massive data breach that hit several government agencies.

A report by cybersecurity research company VPN Mentor shows more than a million applicant and employee records were compromised including birth certificates, tax filing records, and police identification cards.

The NPC met with government agencies that were supposedly affected, which include the Philippine National Police, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Civil Service Commission.
