Checking of Umrah permit at each check post for entry into Makkah
Security officials in Saudi Arabia are not allowing anyone to enter Makkah without seeing an Umrah permit at the check post. Strict checking is being done. Every person going to Makkah is allowed to proceed through the check post only after checking their Umrah permit. It should be noted that this ban is being imposed on those who are in Ihram and are going for Umrah. There is no restriction on those who pray in Masjid al-Haram or go to Makkah for any other purpose. It is not necessary to take a permit for this.
