Designer makes pet bearded dragon Easter bunny costume

A clothes designer has hand-made Easter costumes for her bearded dragon - including dressing him as the EASTER BUNNY.

Anni Becherer, 47, runs a clothing design business but put her skills to the test making tiny outfits for her pet.

Jub Jub, the one-year-old bearded dragon, has had photoshoots in the past dressed as everything from a motorcyclist to a Game of Thrones character.

And to celebrate Easter, mum-of-two Anni has most recently kitted Jub Jub out with an Easter bunny costume.

Not only that, but she has also made a carrot outfit as well as dressing him up as a bunch of flowers.

Anni, from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, said: "The Easter bunny one only took around 40 minutes.

"I knitted it so it was quick - and he actually likes sitting in it!

"The carrot one wasn’t a planned outfit - I went grocery sopping and saw those amazing long carrots on sale. I knew I had to do it.

"I did that outfit the moment I came home."

Anni, who runs her fashion business Anni's Creations, tested the waters with a tiny Easter bunny suit to see if Jub Jub would tolerate the clothes when she first got him.

After learning he would sit in them for a while under his heat lamp for his afternoon rest, she was inspired.

He has since grown out of the original bunny costume, so she decided to make a new version this year, better than the last.

But Anni isn't stopping here - and has a long list of future home-made outfits planned.

She said: "I want to do Lady Gaga, Tina Turner and Elvis.

"I also want to try making a corn-on-the-cob, a pea pod and a Demogorgon from Stranger Things."

She explained that when she shares his outfits on social media, people comment that they want to be "reincarnated as Jub Jub" because he's so pampered.

But her pieces are unique to Jub Jub, and despite requests, she said she would never sell them to anybody else.

Anni said: "I've had people messaging me from as far away as Texas asking me to make costumes and sell them.

"But I would never sell them. I just make them for fun for Jub Jub.

"Not all bearded dragons like clothes on them anyway, so I'd probably have loads of returns.

"I just dress Jub Jub up for pictures to put a smile on people's faces."
