Cute Meghalayan cottage shelters residents from incessant Cherrapunjee rain
  • last year
A fruit seller goes about her job in the continuous rainfall of Cherrapunjee, regardless of the weather which she is now well used to. She also sells inkus or squash which is a prickly vegetable that grows on tall vines that clamber up trees and buildings.

See how the sloping tin roofs channel the rain down to the gutters that surround the house. See the algae on the buildings and a church in the backdrop.
