Twenty-one people have been convicted of sexual offences against seven young children in Walsall that spanned almost a decade. Defendants were given jail terms ranging from two years to 20 years, with all of them given sexual harm prevention orders of varying length.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm after police officers were shot at in Birmingham. They tried to engage with the man who was acting suspiciously he ran away and it is believed he pulled a gun and fired a shot towards the officers. A 37-year-old was arrested and placed into custody.

A 17-year-old boy has handed himself in to police in relation to a dangerous driving incident in Solihull following a police appeal. He was arrested and has since been released on police bail while police enquiries continue.
