Construction of a rock concert-inspired stage for Eurovision has begun with just six weeks to go until the Grand Final at the M&S Bank Arena. 37 countries will take part in the Song Contest performing on the special thrust stage, which is designed to jut out into the arena with the audience sitting around the sides.

Next - Thomas Cashman has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of forty two years for the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel. The nine year old was fatally shot in the chest at her Dovecot home last august. Cashman will be seventy six when he's eligible for parole.

Last - A Liverpool school is the UK’s first to trial a robot classroom helper. BellaBot is an 'intelligent delivery robot' that can speak to staff and students, carry equipment and even recommend books. It's hoped the bot, being trialed at Saint John Bosco Arts College, will inspire the next generation to take up careers in tech.
