Man and woman die after severe fire rips through house in the early hours in Bloxwich, Walsall

A man and a woman have died after a severe fire ripped through a house in the early hours of this morning (Monday, April 3).

Emergency services were called to Croxdene Avenue in Bloxwich, Walsall, West Mids., where the pair were found in a critical condition at 2.28am.

Despite the efforts of medics, they were both pronounced dead at the scene and investigators are now examining the cause of the fatal blaze.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic.
