Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India transformed into Dior runway

Dior transformed Mumbai’s historic Gateway of India monument into a runway on Thursday, 30 March, for the showcase of their 2023 pre-fall collection.
Models wore silk dresses, evening coats and sari-inspired skirts with references to traditional Indian silhouettes, with many sporting strings of pearls around their necks for creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s collection.
“I personally wanted to celebrate and showcase the incredible knowledge India offers to the international world of fashion,” Chiuri said.
