A 33 year old man from Swansea has been jailed for three years for child grooming offences. Timothy Jones pled guilty earlier on this month, and was sentenced on Wednesday. Jones was arrested in April 2022 as part of a sting operation after arranging to meet with who he thought was an underage girl.

Plans for a tourism tax in Wales have moved a step closer after the Welsh government said it would be put to the Senedd in the next few years. The tax would be an extra few pounds on top of an overnight stay and would be put back into tourism infrastructure around the country, those opposed say it would put people off staying in Wales.

Skomer Island, just off the coast of Pembrokeshire has recorded a record number of Puffins on the island in a recent count. Over 45,000 of the migrating birds were counted on the island, and the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales said it was an excellent start to the season.
