A digital rights advocate is renewing calls to reform mandatory data collection laws following a string of high-profile hacking incidents. Property development group "Meriton" is the latest company to have its cyber security defences breached with the birth certificates, bank account details and employment history of staff members potentially compromised along with the contact information of hotel guests.
