The Bridewell has once again been named Liverpool's pub of the year by CAMRA's local branch after beating off competition from hundreds of rivals. The Roscoe Head, The Grapes, Cask Liverpool and The Little Taproom were also highly commended.
Liverpool is set to get it's own New York-style Central Park after plans to redevelop the Central Docks were given the green light by Liverpool City Council. The project will see hundreds of trees planted and over 2,300 homes built as part of the Liverpool Waters scheme.
House prices in Liverpool continue to rise despite a slight drop in property value across the North West. A 0.2% increase in December means property prices in the area have grown by 14.1% over the last year.
