The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning about a rare and sometimes deadly fungal disease that’s spreading through the US. The fungus, C auris, affects primarily seniors and those with a weak immune system; it rejects treatments from traditional antifungal medications which could explain the “dramatic” increase in cases.
