Nothing beats the hearty goodness of Daal Mash during Ramadan!
Daal mash fry
ingredients:
Daal mash ½ kg
Onion 1
Tomato 250 grams
Fenugreek seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin 1 tbsp
Crushed red chili 1 tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
salt ½ tsp
Coriander as needed
Green chili 4
Thinly chopped ginger as needed
Oil 4 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
For the ‘tarka’:
Garlic 6
Cumin 1 tsp
Whole red chilies 6
Curry leaves as needed
Onion (medium) 1
Clarified butter as needed
Method:
Boil the lentil. Heat oil and add onion, ginger garlic paste, tomato, cumin, fenugreek, turmeric, salt, crushed red chili and prepare the mixture. Now add the lentil and cook for a while. Add ginger, green chili, and coriander. Lastly add clarified butter, cumin, red chilies, curry leaves, onions for the tarka.
