Robert Parish and Michael Jordan are two of the greatest basketball players to have ever graced the court. These two legends have had their fair share of arguments during their time playing together on the Chicago Bulls team in the late 90s. In this video, Cedric Maxwell and legendary point guard Isiah Thomas dive deep Michael Jordan's up and down relationships, including Robert Parish and MJ's beef. Cedric plays back Chief's story about a practice argument they had as Zeke reacts in real-time.

BACK STORY:

The first thing to understand is that Parish and Air Jordan had very different personalities. Robert Parish was known for being a laid-back and quiet player, while Michael Jordan was an intense and competitive player who would do anything to win. These personality differences often led to arguments between the two.

One of the most famous arguments between Parish and Jordan happened during a game against the Indiana Pacers in the 1998 playoffs. During the game, Parish was guarding Pacers' center Rik Smits, and Jordan was upset that Parish was not providing enough help defense. This led to Jordan yelling at Parish, and Parish responding by telling Jordan to "shut up and play."

Another argument between the two happened during a practice session. Jordan was frustrated when Parish and the Bulls second unit defeated Jordan and the first unit in 4 consecutive scrimmages. Parish, on the other hand, felt that Jordan was being too hard disrespectful to him and not acknowledging his contributions to the NBA.

Despite these arguments, both players respected each other and knew that they were crucial to the team's success. They were able to put their differences aside and work together to help the Bulls win their sixth championship in 1998.

In conclusion, the arguments between Robert Parish and Michael Jordan were a result of their different personalities and approaches to the game. However, their mutual respect and desire to win allowed them to overcome these differences and achieve greatness together on the basketball court.
