J&K: 2 held with 100 kg of poppy straw drug in Udhampur

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested two drug peddlers with 100 kg of poppy straw drug in Udhampur.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act against the accused.
Shyam Singh, Naib Tehsildar of Udhampur said, “Whilst undergoing vehicle inspection duties at Jakhani Check Naka on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway NH-44 in Udhampur, a police team directed a truck with the registration number RJ 07 GA-3981 that was travelling from the Valley and heading towards Punjab to stop."
During checking, police recovered 100 kg of poppy straw and arrested the driver and cleaner of the truck.
