हवा में उड़ते पक्षी (Birds) को कोई अंदाजा नहीं होता कि अगर वह किसी हवाई जहाज (Airplane) से टकरा जाए. ऐसे में उसकी मौत तो निश्चित ही है. यात्रियों की भी जान पर भी बन आती है. ऐसी घटनाएं तब ज्यादा होती हैं जब कोई पक्षी विंडस्क्रीन (Windscreen) से टकराता है. या जेट विमान ( Jet Plane) के इंजन (Engine) में फंस जाता है. पक्षी के विंडस्क्रीन या विंडो (Window) से भी टकराने पर क्रैक (Crack) होने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है. ऐसे में विमान (Plane) को तुरंत लैंड कराना पड़ता है।
