Bring on the Red Wall! Manchester United are giving all 33,000 of their fans at Wembley a limited-edition scarf as Erik ten Hag's side attempt to end six-year trophy drought against Newcastle in Carabao Cup final

Manchester United will take on Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley
All 33,000 fans will be provided with a limited-edition red and white scarf
Manchester United will give all supporters attending Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Newcastle a limited-edition scarf.

And the club has taken the initiative of giving all 33,000 fans attending the match a limited-edition red and white scarf as they look to create a great atmosphere

Rick McGagh, Head of Fan Engagement at United, said: 'Our fans have been brilliant again this season and we saw on Thursday night against Barcelona the role they play in inspiring the team and helping us get over the line in tight games.

'The manager and players really value and appreciate their support, so we wanted to take the opportunity to recognise our fans and to reward them with something special at Wembley.

Hopefully these scarves will provide a lasting momento of another great day in our club's history as we look to win our first trophy under Erik.

We hope the 33,000 fans making the trip to Wembley, and all our supporters watching across the world, have a great day on Sunday.'

Looking to claim the first piece of silverware on offer this season, United head into the clash with Newcastle fresh off the back of one of their biggest wins of the season to date, knocking Barcelona out of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag's side could end a trophy hoodoo stretching back to 2017 against the Magpies. Were they to prevail, it would be the club's sixth League Cup in total.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have been far more starved of success in the decades that followed their last major domestic trophy triumph (the FA Cup in 1955). They have never won the League Cup, coming closest in 1976.
