Cinema guide: Will this be the best film of the year?
  • last year
Tetris is the upcoming biographical drama film starring Taron Egerton and Toby Jones coming soon to Apple TV plus - no prizes for guessing what its about. When Henk Rogers discovers video game Tetris in nineteen eighty eight, he then risks everything by travelling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with an inventor in an attempt to bring the game to the masses.

Next - head over to Netflix for We Have a Ghost. The discovery that their house is haunted makes Kevin's family a social media sensation. But when Kevin and the ghost - Ernest get to the bottom of the mystery of Ernest's past, they become targets of the CIA. Familiar faces like that of Anthony Mackie and David Harbour appear, as well as Jennifer Coolidge as a TV medium - is that perfect casting or what?

And last - its not unheard of but its certainly of note when a film achieves a one hundred percent critics approval rating on rotten tomatoes, and our last pick of the week has done just that. Past Lives, from A twenty four, is a romantic drama about two deeply connected childhood friends who reunite after twenty years and its already being dubbed one of the best films of the year.
