A former police officer faces court after an allegation he engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a woman in 2013. Steven Walters who left the force in 2016 has been charged with misconduct in a public office following an investigation by the IOPC.
Four men have been arrested following reports that shots were fired during a disorder in Highters Heath just before 3pm on Monday. Armed officers later stopped two vehicles where drugs and a small knife were found. Extra patrols have been put in place.
An enormous cat weighing almost two stone is looking for her forever home after being found abandoned in Calthorpe Park last October. Nicknamed Big Bertha, she was taken in by the RSPCA but was too big to fit through the cat flap in the rescue centre. She has since lost almost 4kg over four months.
