Last month Defence Minister Mohamad Hasan said he was anticipating the new Budget 2023’s allocation for the Defence Ministry could be lower than the one proposed by the previous government, given the Federal Government’s declining revenue. How much should we prioritise defence spending? What will a lower defence budget mean for Malaysia?
