Glasgow headlines 21 February: Glasgow MSP runs for First Minister role

The MSP for Glasgow Pollock and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Humza Yousaf, has announced his bid for First Minister.

He is currently up against Ash Regan and Kate Forbes for the position, and a winner is due to be announced on the twenty seventh of March.

Next up, a Glasgow restaurant group who own a number of venues in the Finnieston area has gone into liquidation.

Kained Holdings operated the Oyster Bar, Lebowskis, The Finnieston, and the Porter and Rye.

According to the notice of court order, jobs have been secured.

And in other news, pupils at a Glasgow secondary school now have access to a grand piano, which was donated by musicians from the band Simple Minds.

Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill who are both former students of Holyrood High School rallied behind the school’s Sponsor a Key fundraiser event.
