Online digital banking has brought so much convenience in our everyday lives, but it also exposed us to the risk of frauds and scams.
According to the police, a total of 71,833 scams were reported from 2020 till May 2022 raking in a total of RM5.3 billion. Surely it has increased tremendously since then!
Be it RM300, RM30,000 or even RM300,000 - every single cent matters. Paranoia and anxiety to use digital banking and transactions have spread.
What has been done to curb this problem? What are the authorities and stakeholders doing to mitigate the problem?
And ultimately, how can we protect ourselves and our loved ones from these fraudsters?
