The story begins as Chihiro, a young girl, mopes and makes a fuss in the back of her parents car. It is clearly obvious that they were on their way to their new home located in a new town entirely. The father however, takes a wrong route to their new home and instead of going back, he is intrigued by the new scenery he sees. The place is a lonely entrance to an old theme park that seems not to be functioning again. All these while, Chihiro whines in disapproval. Refusing to go further to the strange place her parents kept exploring.
