Police in Lanarkshire are asking car owners to be aware following a number of thefts within the area.

Since December last year, sixteen vehicles have been reported stolen, with only six having been recovered.

The car models that have been thieved are Land Rovers and Range Rovers.

All of Scotland’s 32 local authorities will experience a shortfall in their budget due to rising costs, which will inevitably add further strain to the delivery of services.

And finally, A Glasgow GP has launched a local appeal to help victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Doctor Cemal, who is originally from Izmir, is collecting items, medical equipment and donations at his Ingram Street practice to send to survivors.
