Wales headlines 10 February: Man reported missing before death, 149mph speeder handed driving ban, new container market in Caerphilly

An inquest has heard a man who died in the centre of Cardiff was reported missing by his husband before his body being discovered. Darren-Haydn Meah Moore, a drag queen who performed as CC Quinn was discovered in park lane on January 22nd. A man has been arrested on suspicion of man slaughter, and the inquest will continue once a police investigation has concluded.

A driver has been given an 18 week suspended prison sentence and a two year driving ban after pleading guilty to driving at 149 miles per hour along the m4. 29 year old Aaron Duffy posted a video of himself driving at that speed to tik tok, which was passed onto authorities who conducted an investigation.

Caerphilly Council have announced plans for a multi-million pound container-style market set to be opened in September. The market in Park Lane will have 33 container spaces, hosting bars, restaurants, shops and office space. The Welsh government’s Transforming Towns programme will fund 70% of the project with the remained 30% from the council.
