Seit langem kennen die Schlümpfe den Mythos um das Verlorene Dorf. Als sie auf eine Karte stoßen, die den Weg dort hinweisen könnte, machen sich Schlumpfine und ihre Freunde Schlaubi ,Hefty und Clumsy ohne die Erlaubnis von Papa Schlumpf heimlich auf in den Verbotenen Wald, in dem allerhand magische Kreaturen wohnen. Doch auch der böse Zauberer Gargamel will das Dorf finden und so wird die Suche nach dem Dorf zu einem Wettlauf gegen die Zeit. Als dieses erreicht wird, erleben er und die Schlümpfe jedoch eine riesige Überraschung...
