Neurologist Breaks Down the Differences Between Headaches and Migraines
  • last year
If you’ve experienced a throbbing headache, you’ve probably wondered how to distinguish a migraine from a headache. In this video, Dr. Matthew Fink breaks down the differences between headaches and migraines. He explains that while we’ve all probably experienced headaches, a migraine is a more severe, throbbing pain that usually occurs on one side of the head. Typically, there are four phases of a migraine headache – the prodrome, aura, headache, and postdrome. He describes each phase, from the general feeling that something is not right (the prodrome) all the way through the recovery phase (the postdrome).
