After Steven Spielberg's classic Raiders of the Lost Ark was released 35 years ago, three 11-year-old boys from Mississippi set out on what would become a 7-year-long labor of love and tribute to their favorite film: a faithful, shot-for-shot adaptation of the action adventure film. Mississippi, 1982, machen sich zwei elfjährige Freunde daran, ihren Lieblingsfilm Szene für Szene nachzudrehen: Jäger des verlorenen Schatzes. Das Projekt dauerte sieben lange Jahre, die ihre Freundschaft bis an ihre Grenzen brachte und beinah ein Familienhaus komplett in Brand setzte. Am Ende hatten sie alle bis auf eine Szene nachgespielt...die explosive Flugzeug-Szene. 30 Jahre später versuchen noch einmal ihren Kindheitstraum zu realisieren, indem sie die 75-Fuß große "Flying Wing" in einer Schlammgrube in den Hinterwäldern Mississippis nachbauen, um das Model anschließend in die Luft zu jagen.
