Joelinton and partner Thays Gondim found out they are having a baby boy in an elaborate gender reveal held at St. James' Park.

The Newcastle star and Gondim were joined on the pitch by their two children as they waited to see the gender of their next child.

The family lined up on the halfway line with a goal behind them, as well as pink and blue balloons, for decoration.

As Joelinton kicked a football high into the sky, blue flares went off as the family found out they were expecting a baby boy.

The family looked ecstatic with the news and jumped up and down hugging each other - before speaking to the camera.

Joelinton has become somewhat of a cult hero at Newcastle and the gender reveal at St. James' Park will help solidify that status.

The 26-year-old struggled when he first moved to the club but has managed to turn his form around and has since become a key player for the club.

His versatility is incredibly useful to Eddie Howe and he has featured throughout the season in a variety of different roles on the side.

The Brazilian will be key to Newcastle in the second half of the campaign as Howe's side look to secure a Champions League spot for next season.

Newcastle play relegation candidates Bournemouth next as they look to get back to winning ways after a 1-1 draw against West Ham.
