Long ago, a mysterious masked shinobi unleashed the Nine-Tailed Fox onto the Village Hidden in the Leaves to spread chaos and destruction. But the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and his wife Kushina Uzumaki sealed the Tailed Beast into their newborn son Naruto to save the village, foiling the shinobi’s plan.Years later, Naruto and his friends succeed in driving away the infamous Akatsuki, who have mysteriously returned from the dead. Upon returning to the village, the young shinobi are praised by their families for completing a dangerous mission. Reminded of how alone he is, Naruto begins to wonder what it’s like to have parents, when a strange masked figure appears before him – the same masked shinobi responsible for the death of his parents!

Naruto und Sakura haben beide das Gefühl, als wenn die Welt, in der sie leben, mehr als ungerecht ist. Sakura, die von ihren Eltern genervt ist, hält es allmählich nicht mehr aus. Und auch Naruto merkt, wie arg er seine Eltern eigentlich vermisst. Durch Uchiha Madara passiert es jedoch, dass die beiden in eine Art Paralleluniversum geschickt werden, in der sich alles ins Gegenteil wandelt. Sakura, die nun ohne Eltern lebt, da diese einst das Dorf gerettet haben und sich hierbei geopfert haben und Naruto, der seine Eltern wieder in die Arme schließen kann. Doch hinter der Illusion versteckt sich ein weiterer Gegner, der Konoha bedroht und das Gleichgewicht der Welt auseinander reißen will. Können Naruto und Sakura ihn stoppen und in ihre Welt zurückkehren? Oder wollen sie es überhaupt noch?
