Brexit and Covid has derailed plans to move civil servants to Yorkshire, according to researchers from the Institute for Government think tank.
They told MPs on the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee on Tuesday that due to mass recruitment in London, these have dwarfed the Government's attempt to move jobs out of the capital to regions like Yorkshire.
