The attorneys for Nichols' family held a press conference about the charges Friday morning.

Nichols' mother RowVaughn Wells, told reporters how painful it was for her to know that her son cried out for her in his time of need and she wasn't there for him, adding "It's funny, you know, he always said he was going to be famous one day. I didn't know this is how, this is what he meant."
