Tasmanian researchers make bid to reintroduce Emu

Emus were hunted to extinction in Tasmania after European settlers arrived but now researchers believe it's time to re-introduce the flight-less bird as part of a plan to re-invigorate the island's ecosystem. Dr Tristan Derham from the University of Tasmania’s School of Natural Science says the Emu could become a poster bird for rewilding programmes.
