The funeral of Former New South Wales liberal senator and army officer Jim Molan has taken place in Canberra. Mourners gathered in the chapel at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, in the National Capital. Jim Molan rose to the army rank of major-general before entering politics. An army pilot and later commander, he served in the Solomon Islands and east Timor and as the chief of operations for coalition forces in Iraq. He died from cancer earlier this month aged 72. Senator Molan is remembered by family, friends and military and political colleagues.
