‘Rio weds Ria’: Couple holds wedding of pet dogs in Maharashtra

Marrying off pet dogs is the new trend among pet owners in India. In one such incident, a one-year-old male dog Rio got hitched to nine-month-old female dog Ria in Navi Mumbai’s Sanpada on January 25.
The wedding ceremony of Rio and Ria was observed following the rituals of Indian weddings. Neighbours and relatives attended the wedding. “After seeing their love, we decided to get them to mate. Then we decided to get them married before mating,” said the parent of one of the dogs.
