The Xpander and its Cross sibling are one of the most popular nameplates not just in its class but in the car industry as a whole, with legions of fans making a case for it by word of mouth and in comments sections. It follows the basic formula of 1.5-liter raised MPVs being marketed as SUVs, but whereas most competitors get CVTs, the Xpander Cross retains a four-speed automatic. For the 2023 model year, it comes with a few new features to help it compete in a congested segment.
