माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की वरद तिल कुंड चतुर्थी है. इसे विनायक चौथ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. इस दिन कार्य की सिद्धि और वंश की वृद्धि के लिए विशेष रूप से गौरी और गणेश की पूजा की जाती है. ये पूजा सफल कार्यों में आने वाली बाधा का निराकरण करती है. पंडित अमर डिब्बा वाला के मुताबिक इस दिन सफेद तिल्ली से भगवान श्री गणेश को स्नान कराया जाना चाहिए. इसके बाद उन्हें सफेद तिल्ली से बने पकवान आदि का भोग लगाते हुए तिल्ली को दान करने से मनोवांछित फल की प्राप्ति होती है

Varad Til Kund Chaturthi is the auspicious day of Shukla Paksha of Magh month. It is also known as Vinayaka Chauth. On this day Gauri and Ganesha are specially worshiped for the success of the work and for the growth of the family. This worship removes the obstacles coming in successful works. According to Pandit Amar Dibba Wala, Lord Shri Ganesh should be bathed with white spleen on this day. After this, by offering dishes made of white spleen etc. to them and donating the spleen, the desired fruit is obtained.
