Outpatients waiting to see specialists for medical treatment or surgery in the national capital are facing long delays often beyond clinically recommended guidelines, according to newly released documents. The ACT opposition, which obtained the ministerial briefing from June last year through freedom of information laws, says it paints a bleak picture of Canberra’s health system.
