CCTV shows the glider wobble towards the ground, skidding onto a road in Lakshmana Tirtha river at Nittur in Kodagu in India.

A car swerves just in time to avoid a crash.

A local source said: “They had to make an emergency landing due to a technical failure and as they were descending on the main road, a car was heading towards them from the opposite direction.

“It was learnt that the pilot of the paraglider had four months of experience.”

The incident happened on January 14.
