Thefts from vegetable gardens is on the rise across Tasmania and many believe it could be linked to the soaring cost of fresh produce in supermarkets. Whether or not it's an act of desperation, the thefts have been disheartening for keen gardeners who already donate their excess fruit or vegetables to family members or people doing it tough.
