Met police 'truly sorry' for 'clear failure' in Carrick case

The Metropolitan Police say they are 'truly sorry' for failing to protect the public from the sexual abuse of serving officer David Carrick. It was revealed that the Met Police knew of over nine incidents involving Carrick, including allegations of rape, domestic violence and harassment, between 2000 and 2021.
