भारत (India) के करीब 6 करोड़ लोग सीरियस फंगल डिजीज (serious fungal disease)की चपेट में हैं। इसका खुलासा एक रिसर्च (Research) के जरिये हुआ है। इस पर दिल्ली (Delhi AIIMS) एम्स, प. बंगाल (West Bangal) एम्स, चंडीगढ़ (Chandigarh) की PGIMER और ब्रिटेन (Britain) की मैनचेस्टर यूनिवर्सिटी (Manchester University) ने रिसर्च किया है। इसमें 400 से ज्यादा रिसर्च आर्टिकल्स का रिव्यू किया गया. जिसमें ये रिजल्ट आया है कि भारत के करीब 6 करोड़ लोग किसी न किसी फंगल बीमारी से जूझ रहे हैं. यानी 100 में से हर चौथा शख्स किसी ना किसी फंगल बीमारी की चपेट में है. या यूं कहें भारत के 4.4 फीसदी लोग सीरियस फंगल डिजीज के शिकार हैं.
