What is a Brazilian Manicure?
  • last year
Unlike traditional American manicures, Brazilian manicures paint inside and outside the lines. Sounds messy? It is, but that’s on purpose. The nail stylist covers not only the nail, but the surrounding skin ensuring complete coverage. The stylist then removes excess polish with a wooden stick and acetate, revealing a full coated nail. Another feature unique to this Brazilian style is the removal of the outer layer of the cuticle before applying this polish. This requires skill though, for there is a risk of bacterial infection if not performed properly. In other words, this might not click with your preferred nail care routine. The final result though, is worth the effort. Enjoy this video demonstrating the Brazilian manicure technique from start to finish.
