'Slumdog Millionaire', Oscar for best picture

IN THE FIELD: 'Slumdog Millionaire' has won the Oscar for best picture at the 81st Academy Awards in Los Angeles. 'Slumdog' director Danny Boyle won the best director award, Sean Penn took the prize for best actor and Kate Winslet won best actress.
