Gary Neville and Micah Richards kept Brentford Hilariously Party Going after a 3-1 Win vs Liverpool

Gary Neville and Micah Richards couldn’t resist rubbing salt into Jamie Carragher’s wounds after Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat away at Brentford on Monday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered their fifth Premier League defeat of the campaign. They now find themselves sixth in the table, 15 points behind leaders Arsenal despite having played one more fixture.

Brentford was 2-0 up by half-time thanks to an Ibrahima Konate own goal and a 42nd-minute goal by Yoane Wissa.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reduced the deficit to one goal shortly after the restart but Bryan Mbeumo’s goal shortly before full-time earned a famous victory for the Bees.

“What a night! I can’t praise the players enough, they are incredible,” Brentford boss Thomas Frank told BBC Sport after the match.

“The attitude, effort, hard work, and togetherness – everything they put together to beat a team like Liverpool.”

“Crazy, crazy. Liverpool is one of the best teams in the world so if you want to beat them you have to be at 200%. I hope the fans enjoyed it,” Wissa told Sky Sports.

“We worked so hard together. We played together and that’s why we did this. Now we know how the Premier League goes so we have to be humble and stay together.

“I could have scored a hat trick today. I scored twice, offside, then I got one so it’s good. Everyone is happy.”

The atmosphere inside the Community Stadium was bouncing at full-time. We won’t see a more raucous atmosphere in the Premier League all season.

Richards and Neville were both seen dancing away, bouncing about as Brentford’s jubilant supporters all bounced around:

And Richards and Neville even kept the party going after Brentford’s fans had all gone home. Poor old Carragher had finally had enough:

Brentford now finds themselves up to seventh place in the table, just two points behind Liverpool, who will just be relieved they won’t have to go back to the Community Stadium until next season.
