Flood and fire-prone communities turn to UHF CB radio networks in disaster preparation

When northern New South Wales was hit with catastrophic flooding earlier this year, tens of thousands of people were left without any way to communicate. Now many communities are going back to basics and building their own radio networks to stay connected.
