SSU COMMANDOS DISPLAYED REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE IN 4TH POLICE SHUHADA MEMORIAL SHOOTING COMPETITION; GRABS 08 MEDALS

With an aim to pay tribute to the police martyrs, National Police Bureau organized ‘Police Shuhada Memorial Shooting Competition’ in police lines headquarters Islamabad.

Shooters of various law and enforcement agencies including the police teams of Sindh, Punjab Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Balochistan Police, Gilgit Biltistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Frontier Constabulary, National Highways & Motorway Police-NHMP, Islamabad Police and Pak Railways Police participated in the event and displayed their skills.

Director General National Police Bureau Dr. Najaf Quli Mirza was the chief guest of the opening ceremony where a son of martyred police officer kick-off the competition by firing a gunshot.

Former IGP Afzal Ali Shigri was the chief guest of the closing cere who gave away medals and prizes to the winners and officials.

The team of SSU Commandos representing Sindh Police displaying remarkable skills won 02 gold, 02 silver and 04 bronze medals, 08 in total in different (male-female) categories of the shooting competition.

In 10 meter pistol category SSU Lady Commando Sidra Hasan and 200 meter sniper category Commando Abdul Shakoor won gold medals.

Whereas, in 15 meter pistol shooting female/male categories SSU Lady Commando Rija Almani and Commando PC Abdul Shakoor grabbed silver medals respectively.

Moreover, in 15 meter pistol, 100 meter G-3 rifle and 200 meter sniper category, Commando Mudassir Ali wom bronze medal and Commando Abdul Shakoor also got bronze medal in 35 meter pistol category.

The DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed felicitated the winning shooting team of SSU Commandos and wished them luck for their future endeavours.
