Starting wih BBC one, would it be Christmas without a call the midwife special? Tune in on Christmas Day at 7:55pm for an hour an a half of December deliveries as the midwives of Nonnatus House return to our screens. The show's creator Heidi Thomas said we'll be seeing the return of a family that hasn't appeared on the show for five years, making for very special Christmassy viewing.

Over on ITV, don't miss Martin Clunes's last festive foray as Doc Martin. Earlier in the year, fans bid farewell to the great doctor, who's been entertaining us for ten whole seasons - since 2004. This christmas special is your last chance to say goodbye to the town of Portwenn at 9:05pm on Christmas Day.

Channel four is playing host once again to a group of celebs battling it out to create some stunning snow creations in the Greatest Snowman on Boxing Day. Airing at 7:30pm, Sue Perkins hosts this one, with last years celebs returning to offer artistic tips and advice to this year's famous competitors.

The six-part comedy sees Father Christmas looking ahead to his retirement and attempting to recruit a replacement - it's available to watch right now.

And last, if you're all christmassed out, perhaps you'd rather head to Netflix for the hotly anticipated the Witcher blood origin. Dropping on the streaming platform on Christmas Day, this fantasy drama is set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher and stars Michelle Yeoh as a deadly sword-elf in a quest against an all-powerful empire.
