On December 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level review meeting on Covid-19 amid the surge in cases in China. PM Modi said Covid-19 is not over yet and advised people to wear masks as the festive season is on, but did not make their usage mandatory. PM Modi said the focus should be on genome sequencing.
